Nancy Keever Ilderton was born on October 1,1946 in
High Point, NC. Her life came full circle, beginning and ending on her birthday, October 1, 2025; a sign of God's perfect timing and completion. She passed away peacefully at home after a long, courageous battle with heart disease.
Nancy's family was always her greatest blessing. She was a loving wife to her husband, Clarence, and an adoring and dedicated mother and grandmother Nana. She was predeceased by her parents Vada and Ray Keever, & younger brother, Danny Keever. Nancy is survived by her husband Clarence Ilderton Jr.; children, Ashley (Frank), Shannon (David), Trey (Jobina), Robert (Mary Beth), Josh (Stacy) and Candice; and grandchildren, Claire, Hannah, Mary Keever, Dozier, Mor, Peyton, McCormick, Nathan, Brody, Olivia & Stella. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Keever (Dottie).
Nancy graduated in1964 from High Point Central High School. She attended High Point College and graduated from Central Piedmont Community College School of Hygiene in Charlotte, NC. Nancy dedicated 40 years to her career as a dental hygienist before turning her passion for fashion into a new career with her husband, Clarence, selling jewelry & ladies accessories across the Southeast.
Nancy was an active member of Wesley Memorial Church, she especially loved worshiping with her weekly Unity Group. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Junior League of High Point. Nancy also served on many civic, private, and non-profit Boards and Committees.
She was a dedicated and tenacious bridge player with weekly groups in High Point and Winston Salem where she was a Master level player just like her dad! In her free time, she found joy in tending her garden and getting lost in a good book.
One of Nancy's greatest loves was snow skiing. She was an expert skier and a member of the Sugar Mountain Ski Patrol for over 30 years where numerous life-long relationships were made. Nancy was recognized as the "Patroller of the Year" in 2010.
The family wishes to thank Nancy's many wonderful doctors and caregivers for their genuine love and care as she privately, gracefully, and inspirationally dealt with Congestive Heart Failure and Parkinson's disease.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 11, at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church,1225 Chestnut Dr.
High Point, NC with Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating. A livestream of Nancy's service may be viewed through www.wesleymemorial.org. Visitation will follow in the Asbury Room at the church. A private interment will be held at the church columbarium.
