Nancy Jiran

Nancy Jiran, 81, passed away on December 19, 2025, at the Lutheran Care Center, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on April 3, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Minna (Mattijat) Kappler.

In 1964, Nancy married the love of her life, Arthur Jiran, and together they shared 53 joyful years of marriage until his passing in 2017. Their years together were marked by laughter, unwavering companionship, and a deep devotion to one another. A shared love of Doo Wop and oldies music was the soundtrack of their life together.

Nancy was a woman of many talents and simple joys. She loved sewing and needlepoint, enjoyed bowling and golfing, and cherished time spent playing cards and mahjong with her Fox Hill friends. She also found comfort and delight in watching her favorite Hallmark movies, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor TV shows. She had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and a special talent for finding unique gifts for all her friends and family.

She leaves behind her loving children, Christopher Jiran and his fiancée Nicole Paszkiewicz, and Deborah Gerelli and her husband Gregg; her cherished grandchildren, Gregg Gerelli Jr. and Elizabeth Gerelli; and her stepbrothers, Richard and Norman Felter.
