Nancy Lynn Kaiser, 86, died January 6, 2026, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kansas. She was born September 24, 1939, on the farm north of Susank, Kansas, the daughter of Delbert F. and Gertrude (Barnes) Taylor. Nancy graduated from Hoisington High School in 1957.

On May 27, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Melvin Ray Kaiser. They were blessed with four children, Kimberly, Della, Mike and Tyler.

Nancy worked in the business administration office at Barton Community College in her early years. After her family grew she was a housewife and was always available to babysit for anyone. Known for her fun-loving nature, Nancy was always up for an adventure and was known to skip town with her girlfriends on a whim to visit the casinos. She loved her friends and was active in many card clubs and bowling leagues over the years. Nancy was also known for her bold fashion choices that she could pull off so easily. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved spoiling them with her cooking, especially her special cherry rolls.

Nancy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Society.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Melvin Ray Kaiser of the home; four children, Kimberly Biggs and husband Kim of Edmond, Oklahoma, Della Boxberger and husband Doug of Hoisington, Mike Kaiser and wife Danah of Hoisington, and Tyler Kaiser and wife Heather of Hays; a brother, Elwood "Bud" Taylor of Marietta, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Justin Biggs, Jarad (Danielle) Biggs, Kelci (Kevin) Burkey, Bryan (Ashley) Boxberger, Bryce (Abi) Boxberger, Katelyn (Jacob) Milsap, Karisa (Patrick) Cowan, Taylon Kaiser, and Lincoln (Brandy) Ector.; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Ann Field, and a great grandson, Maxton Burkey.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with Vigil and Rosary to begin at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Warren Stecklein. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Hoisington.

Memorials may be made to Kans for Kids or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS, 67544.
