Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 11 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, NM.
Nancy was born January 1, 1947 to Ben and Dorothy Geer in Coudersport, PA. She grew up in Aztec and was active in Rainbow Girls, achieving a state position. Nancy graduated from Aztec High School in 1965 and attended Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa. Holding a top-secret security clearance, she worked at White Sands Missile Range where she handled government contracts, accounting and was responsible for training new employees on computer systems. Returning to Farmington, NM, Nancy worked as a legal secretary for Tommy Roberts, Law Office LLC for 34 years. Nancy served as president of Professional Secretaries International (PSI)(San Juan Chapter). She received the Certified Professional Secretary of the Year Award in 1986.
Nancy was an avid gardener and bird watcher in her later years. Anything she planted grew into something beautiful as evidenced by the back yard of her house in Farmington. There were flowers, shrubs and vines all creating an oasis in the middle of town. She had bird feeders against the kitchen window so she could enjoy her birds throughout the year with her husband, David.
Nancy is survived by her sons Michael Karlin (Tiffany) and Craig Karlin(Lisa) and daughter Joy Clarke(Kenneth), sister Julie Rasor(Joe) and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Ben and Dorothy Geer, her husband David Fox and brother Don Geer.
