Nancy Mae King-Calloway

Nancy Mae King-Calloway, 97, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in Rockwood. A dedicated member of Ball Camp Baptist Church, Nancy's life was defined by her service to others and her vibrant creativity.

A trailblazer in her field, Nancy graduated as the president of her nursing school class and enjoyed a long, meaningful career as a registered nurse. Her passion for uplifting others extended into her work as a Mary Kay beauty consultant, where she took great pride in helping women find their self-confidence. Nancy was also a gifted artist; her legacy lives on through her delicate watercolors, ceramic pieces, and the intricately smocked English dresses she lovingly crafted for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Tom Leeper Calloway-a proud U.S. Army Air Corps Staff Sgt. and WWII veteran-as well as her parents, Charles and Reva Zachary King; her sister, Betty June Byrd; and her son-in-law, Clark Madison Kent.

Nancy is survived by her son, Michael Calloway; daughter, Becky Calloway Kent; and grandchildren Courtney Briscoe, Kimberly King-Claiborne (husband Dustin), and Brian Gnann (wife Stephanie). She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren, Malia Whedbee, Kirilee Claiborne, and Vinnesa and Arabella Gnann, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 22nd, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a procession to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services.
