Nancy Toler King, 82, of Reidsville, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at UNC Health Care.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 21, 2025, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Pastor Mark Smith officiating.
Nancy was born in Rockingham County to the late Andrew and Ida Barber Toler. She worked with Chase Bag for over 30 years until they closed and then worked for Burlington Industries for another 9 years. She attended Rock of Ages Baptist Church and had a great love for all animals, rescuing many stray cats and dogs over the years. She had a very loving and generous spirit. Nancy had a green thumb and loved working in the yard and watching the hummingbirds and butterflies. She was an avid Yankee fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys. Over the years she loved traveling, taking photos, and playing Bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Haywood Taylor, Andrew Toler, Jr. and Danny Toler; and niece, Carolyn Snow.
She is survived by her son, David Wayne King and wife, Lisa; grandchild, Garrett Rhodes and wife, Lela ; great grandchildren, Carah and Landon Rhodes and Jaxon Richards; brothers, John Wayne Toler, Charles Toler, Steve Toler and Ernest Toler; sisters, Rachel Gibbs and Janet Toler; nieces, Louise Gibbs Young and Faye Gibbs; special friend, Pam Burgess; and feline companion, Yellow Bell.
