Nancy L. Kirby passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in Pittsburgh, age 96, born May 18, 1929. Preceded in death by her husband James I. Kirby in 1976 and her parents Richard O. & Mary F. (Dotty) Ludebuehl. Survived by two loved and devoted sons, Richard T. Kirby of North East, Pa. & James I. Kirby, Jr. (Debbie) of Glenshaw, Pa., three granddaughters: Leslie McConnell (Tom), Stefanie Schmidt (Josh), Tracey Stalter (Andy), six great grandchildren. Nancy was a former board member of Harmarville Rehabilitation Center and a governing board member of the womens' committee of Western Pennsylvania Hospital where she was chairman of the decorating and gift shop committees. She was also a member of F.I.S.A. (formerly the Federation of Independent School Alumnae). Nancy was a graduate of Fulton School, Peabody High School, and The Ogontz School/college for women. Nancy loved her home, her gardens, & spent every day she could out planting and weeding in her yard, always complimented by passersby. Nancy also had spent some 30 years selling antiques and collectibles at the Wildwood Flea Market in Gibsonia, a passion/pastime she often said was a disease. Also, she worked at The Village Wardrobe clothing shop in Fox Chapel for 22 years. Nancy & her family spent many Summers and weekends at their cottage in North East, Pa. A private service with family will be held, with no viewing. The family requests memorial contributions to The West Penn Hospital Foundation, 4818 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15224.
