D. Harley Obituary

D. Nadine Harley, 86, of Washington, died Friday, August 22, 2025. She was born August 23, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Herbert and Doris Clarkson Poindexter. Nadine was a former member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, in Canonsburg. She graduated from the Peabody High School in Pittsburgh, and continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with her Master's degree from St. Francis University. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She and her husband owned and operated a business consulting firm. She was an avid Steeler fan, loved animals, and enjoyed flowers and gardening. Surviving are her son, James Harley, of Washington; daughter, Dina Harley, of Kent, Ohio; grandchildren, Amber (James) Bokshon, Ravi Harley, Kai Klempp, Julia Harley, and Ashlyn Harley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Harley, Sr., her brothers, Herbert Poindexter Jr., and Norman Poindexter. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 27, with location and time to be announced. We kindly ask that you RSVP to [email protected] so the family may plan accordingly. My Grammy, Nadine, loved angels. Anything angel related whether home decor or written text. She sure was our Earth Angel and I know she has transformed back into her true form - an Angel with wings. She will be missed immensely but she is shining bright and will be our Gaurdian Angel forever
