Nancy Ann Koson, 85, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Nancy was a wonderful and devoted Mom. She was caring, kind, with a heart of gold, who always put family first. She especially loved the holidays. This past Christmas was a happy one, as she shared a fun holiday season with her three daughters and other family members. Nancy was born and raised in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, a beautiful small farming town in the western part of the state. She attended New Lisbon High School and was best known as the head cheerleader for the football and basketball teams. For the last 35 years, Nancy has resided in Georgia. Her favorite vacations included annual trips to the Emerald Coast of Florida and her many cruises on Holland America with her special friend, Lucky. In addition, she visited her special sister Audrey every year, either in Wisconsin or Florida. Nancy loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her family and was always there for positive support. Nancy (Mom, sister, friend) will be dearly missed. She lived a wonderful life. She died in peace and is now in a better place. Nancy is survived by her four children: Mark (Sandie) Koson, Susan (Mark) Haddock, Karla (Jim) Platek, and Jill (Kevin) Wade. Her grandchildren: Tyler (Heather) Haddock, Dayna (Jordan) Baitinger, Stephanie Platek, Kellie Walsh, and Owen Wade. Great-grandchildren: Rowan, Lauren, Jack, and Hudson. Nancy is also survived by her best friend and sister, Audrey Darga, as well as special family members, Velma Tadych (sister), Doris Quist (sister), Richard “Dick” Haske (brother), MaryAnn Hahn, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Nancy will always be loved and remembered. God is watching over her now in heaven, in total peace. God bless her.
