Nancy Lancaster was peacefully called home to Heaven on December 17, 2025, at the age of 89. She is joyfully reunited with her parents Edith "Babe" and Eugene "Gordon" Barham; sister Norma Bond; grandson Nicholas Lancaster; and beloved husband of 65 years, Richard "Dick" Lancaster.
Nancy was the loving mother of Steven (Gina), Scott (Dawn), and Paul; devoted grandmother of Christopher, Chelsea (John), Michael (Kelly), Robert, and David; and proud great-grandmother of, Sawyer, Benjamin, Katherine, and Westley.
Nancy was a treasured associate of Walter Knoll Florist, where she worked for over 2 decades. She spoke of those years with great fondness, cherishing the friendships and memories made there.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Nancy devoted her life to service—first to God, then to her family, church, and community. Alongside Dick, she faithfully served Union United Methodist Church for most of her life. Together they embodied joyful service, welcoming others as church greeters, organizing countless events and dinners, singing in the church choir, directing and performing in church productions, lending their voices to weddings and funerals, and coordinating church weddings.
Nancy and Dick shared a lifelong bond rooted in music, entertainment, and laughter, a love they generously passed on to their family and friends. While Dick was known as the comedian of the family, Nancy was its steady, stoic rock—quietly strong, endlessly dependable, and unwavering in her faith. She held her family together with grace and calm, offering love without condition and strength without complaint. Her family finds peace in knowing that her faith has now been made whole.
Nancy’s life was a testament to faith, service, music, and enduring love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
The family would greatly appreciate any memorial donations to be made to Rainbows for Kids at https://rainbowsforkids.org/
A memorial visitation will be held on January 17 at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church at 10am, followed by a memorial service at 11am.
