Nancy Jean Larson, age 69, of Arlington, SD, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arlington. Pastor Elisa McCullen will officiate.
Visitation will be at Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 5-7 p.m.
Following the lunch the Inurnment will be in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Johnson-Henry Funeral Home.

Nancy was born September 6, 1953 in Volga, SD to Vance and LuElla (Anderson) Larson.
She was a lifelong Arlington resident and member of Trinity Lutheran church where she was baptized and confirmed.
Nancy graduated from Arlington High School and continued her education at Nettleton Commercial College. She began her working career at her parents grocery store in her teen years then moved on to several other jobs eventually working at the family owned Larson Meat Locker and then South Dakota State University in the Biology/Microbiology department for many years. Following her retirement from SDSU she worked as the Office Manager at the Arlington Sun. Nancy worked for many years at Schmidty's Bar and Grill. Nancy enjoyed many years of playing softball and was an avid bowler and replaced her Mom's high women's score at Kings Lanes. She had fun helping with the junior bowlers at Kings Lanes. One of Nancy's main passions was her regular trips to the Black Hills and the Crazy Horse Monument. She loved her community and the people in it, and was a good neighbor who helped others.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Vance and LuElla Larson, grandparents, Jens and Ethel Larson and Fred and Sophie Anderson and her brother-in-law Michael Haupt.
Nancy is survived by her sister Vicki Haupt, her nephew Derek Plymate, his wife Patti, their children Allison, Christopher, and Benjamin as well as her dear friend Jim Dahl. Her precious cat Claire survives as well.
Memorials can be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church, or the Crazy Horse Memorial.
