Obituary of Nancy Lee Follansbee Johanson
Nancy Johanson, 86, of Glastonbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 9, 2024 at her home in Glastonbury. She was born on September 22, 1936 in Sandown, New Hampshire, to the late Doris and Ralph Follansbee.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and caregiver throughout the years. Married for over 50 years to her loving husband Ted Johanson, Nancy found joy in raising their four sons and nurturing a legacy of love. Nancy's unwavering compassion spanned generations. For over half a century, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of countless families by serving as a registered nurse throughout New England. She will be particularly remembered for her kindness and generosity to the frail and elderly.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Eric Johanson, and his wife Svetlana, Chris Johanson, and his wife Melissa, Ted Johanson, and his wife Leslie, as well as her sister, Norma Hutchinson. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore A. Johanson, and son, Charles Johanson. Nancy's legacy also includes her grandchildren, Zac, Madison, Daniel, Payton, Christopher, Katie, and Chelsea.
Nancy's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication. She will be remembered fondly as a remarkable woman whose caring spirit touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
