Nancy Lou Leicht, 87, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at home in De Pere. She was born on January 15, 1938, in Green Bay to the late Louis and Dorothy (Van Kessel) Vanden Busch.
Nancy graduated from St. Patrick Grade School and Green Bay West High School. She went on to St. Norbert College and earned an Education Degree, and taught at SS. Peter & Paul School, Green Bay.
On November 5, 1964, she married Theodore Leicht in Green Bay.
Nancy enjoyed watching the deer and birds in her backyard, chatting for hours with friends, shopping with her granddaughters (especially for purses), time at the cottage on Boot Lake, and of course anything strawberry related. In recent years going on outings and experiences with caregivers who became like family.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Julie (Jim) Paulson, and her granddaughters, Grace Paulson and Emma Paulson. Three nieces, Barb Leicht, Kathy (Steve) Gogolakis, and Susan Romanus.
She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Leicht, her parents, brother; Dave Vanden Busch, brother-in-law Tom Leicht, sister-in-law Joan Leicht, her aunts Marguerite Lambeau, Ruth Borchers, and Leonore Tibbets. Special friends, Nancy & Dave Evjue, and Bill & Mary Sue Massey.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM – 6:00PM Thursday, a service for Nancy will take place at 4:30PM with Fr. James Baraniak O.Praem officiating. Burial will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
Special thanks to Nancy's special friend Kris Dart, who was the Thelma to her Louise. You and mom went on so many adventures together. Thank you for enriching moms life in so many ways.

Ed and I are so sorry for your loss of Nancy. She was our neighbor for 32 years and was always kind and sweet to our family. She had a great sense of humor and was a very independent woman. We will miss her.
