Nancy Loua sadly passed away January 10, 2026, at the age of 90. A longtime resident of White Plains, New York, she was the eldest of three siblings. She was born in New York City. Nancy was devoted to our Blessed Mother Mary and to Saint Anthony. She was a member of the Sodality, a group devoted to Mary. Nancy was a faithful Christian and parishioner throughout her life. She met her husband at a church dance.
As newlyweds they initially lived in the Bronx with their two small children. They moved to White Plains to an apartment building with family being all the tenants. The apartment building was on the same block where their forever home was being built. They moved into their home as soon as construction was completed and lived there happily for over sixty years.
Nancy worked in Insurance both in NYC and in White Plains. A sharp career minded woman, she became manager of the Claims department. The company moved the Claims department to upstate New York. Nancy decided not to move with them and transitioned to the Legal department in nearby Tarrytown where she worked until she retired.
She was young at heart and was particularly fond of Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse where she surrounded herself with its likeness. She loved the New York Yankees and watched games as often as possible. Derrick Jeter's wedding picture still hangs in her living room.
Nancy was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, sister-in-law, aunt, and cousin. She was also especially close to neighbors who were like a second family to her coming together to do activities, socialize and camp. She was a gracious hostess who hosted parties in her home for coworkers and family. A true joy for her as she loved people and entertained them in her house.
Friends and family were always happily greeted and welcomed in her home where she insisted on feeding them. She was always concerned that everyone was well fed. Nancy treasured all the memories built. She always had an open-door welcomed family and friends into her home and heart. She celebrated special occasions and welcomed everyone to the celebrations.
She thoroughly enjoyed the musicianship of her son and his friends who were encouraged to practice music in their basement.
Nancy enjoyed traveling with her husband and their sons. She enjoyed the many experiences she had with people she met along the way. Very often remaining friends with them and not letting those friendships wither. She regularly expressed love for family and friends. She always had an, "I Love You" demeanor for everyone as she was loving.
Although dogs made her nervous, this all changed the day they adopted a German Shepherd who they named Bobo. They enjoyed daily adventures with Bobo and their three cats for many years
Nancy survived breast cancer. A true soldier who worked through treatment of her illness so not to worry her husband and children.
She was a caregiver to both of her parents, her husband and her oldest son until their passing. Nancy remained strong, independent, and devoted to family.
Nancy is predeceased by her husband, William Loua, and eldest son, Billy. Nancy is survived by her youngest son James and Fiancé Jackie, brother Thomas Fragala and sister-in-law Phyllis Fragala, brother Vito Fragala and sister-in-law Susan Fragala.
Nancy will remain in our hearts long after the echoes of her laughter fade.
