Nancy Patricia Lownes

Mrs. Walter B. Lownes lll (Nancy), was born on December 13, 1931 and passed away on April 2, 2024. Mrs. Lownes was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She married Walter (Bud) Lownes lll, the love of her life, on June 27, 1953 at the Valley Forge Chapel. She and her family moved extensively, following Mr. Lownes' career. They made their home in Atlanta, GA and in 1991, they moved one last time to Hilton Head Island. Shortly after the move, Mr. Lownes passed away and Nancy made a life for herself on the island by playing tennis, hosting guests and volunteering at the Bargain Box (a community charity thrift store). She lived her life with elegance and decorum. She is survived by her loving children Debbie Wise (Kent) of Portland, OR and Craig Lownes (Donna) of Waleska, GA. Her beautiful and talented grand-daughters are Heather Vonk (Garrett), Patricia Pitman (Jake), Loren Lownes (fiancé Matthew), and Anne Lownes. She was also blessed to have 4 great-grandchildren, Maddie, Lizzie, Zach and Ethan. Instead of flowers the family is asking for donations to your favorite charity. A private graveside service will be held later this month.
