Nancy Mauer Obituary
Nancy was born on October 14, 1933, to Lester W. and Marion C. Robbins. She was the oldest child of six. They are Mary Lou (Ray) Farrow, Ann Marie (Jerry) Bullinger, John Lester (Sharon Follo) Robbins, and James Bernard (Marion) Robbins. A sister Martha Jean Ogrin preceded Nancy in death in 1974.
Nancy leaves behind 10 children: Mary Elizabeth (John) Cregg, Joseph Matthew (Minde) Mauer, William Andrew (Ann) Mauer, Ann Marie (Mike) Clark, Thomas Paul (Daniell) Mauer, Karen (Don) Lemke, Robert James (Ashley) Mauer, Sally Ann (Tony) Jackomino, Martha Jo (Tim) Foster, Daniel Lee (Suzanne Fellers) Mauer. A son Phillip John preceded her in death in 1980 at the age of 12.
She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Nancy enjoyed many hobbies. She started playing golf at the age of 68 and really enjoyed getting out in the sunshine and hitting that little ball around. She continued to bowl until she was 85. She also painted, wrote and published stories, played Mahjongg, and took violin lessons.
Nancy worked until the age of 81 and then she decided she needed a rest and retired from Family Farm and Home. She had also worked at Quality Farm and Fleet and Tractor Supply.
In addition to her parents, sister Martha, and son Phillip, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Mauer, granddaughter Kristiana, sister Ann, and her parents-in-law.
A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be held on Thursday October 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Simon Catholic Church with Rev. Wayne B. Wheeler, Jr. presiding. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Nancy will be laid to rest at South Victory Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oak View Medical Care Facility and Elara Caring Hospice for the wonderful care they took of Nancy.
