Nancy Jane McEvers, 69, of Herrin, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home in Johnston City.
Nancy was a seamstress for 13 years before getting her C.D.L. to drive the big trucks with her partner Marty Price for four years until she retired to be a stay-at-home mom. Later, she went on to get her Associates Degree in Accounting from John A. Logan College and worked in bookkeeping until her retirement.
Nancy was born December 9, 1955 in Herrin, Illinois to Charles Morris and Lillie Earline (Coleman) McEvers.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Rutherford of Johnston City, IL; two sons and daughter-in-law, Marty Price of Johnston City and Randy & Christy Price of Tampa Bay, FL; eight grandchildren, Kristin, Brydon, Trinity, Tristan, Keira, Zander, Soren, and Elincia; sister and brother-in-law, Marianne Lindsay of Aiken, SC; niece, Michelle (Lindsay) Rumer of Aiken, SC; nephew, Sean McEvers of Herrin; and extended family members and close friends to include, Brad Dickerson and Marty Price.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Deterding and Jeffrey Price; parents; two brothers and sister-in-law, Terry L. & Cheryl McEvers and Rev. James M. McEvers; brother-in-law, Barry Lindsay; and niece, Shellianne McEvers.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Time of Gathering for Family and Friends will follow the service at Community Chapel Church in Marion, IL.
