Nancy Ann McGinn-Steffen, 91, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on April 6, 1934 in Newton, Kansas, to Guy and Naomi (Gaines) Hall. She graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1952. Nancy was united in marriage to Duane McGinn on May 28, 1952. They had four children, Cindy, Kurt, Jill and Karen. Nancy later married Victor Steffen. Nancy worked as secretary and bookkeeper for their farm and shop, Sedgwick Motors. She lived in Sedgwick for many years and Burrton, eventually moving to Haven, Kansas, where she made her home until her death. Nancy was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead and attended St. Teresa's Catholic Church and Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She was an active member of the Haven Senior Center and the Haven Library. Nancy was also involved in the Women's VFW. Nancy is survived by her four children, Cindy Beasley of Wichita, Kurt (Janice) McGinn of Sedgwick, Jill McGinn (Steve Ewy) of Halstead, and Karen (Chip) Steffen of Haven; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Clara DeHaven of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and siblings, Clifford, Duane, Clayton, Doris, Wanda, Audrey and Jan. Cremation is planned with a graveside service to be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Haven Senior Center, or Haven Library in care of Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Haven, KS 67543.
