Nancy Faye McMahan, of Owensville, Missouri, and formerly of Potosi, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 69.
Nancy was born on January 14, 1955, in Mineral Point, Missouri, the beloved daughter of the late Alfred C. Ward and Melvina (Martin) Ward. She carried throughout her life the values instilled in her upbringing—kindness, strength, and a deep love for those around her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children: James McMahan Jr., Richard (Mistie) McMahan, Kevin (Kayla) McMahan, and Thomas McMahan; and her seven grandchildren: Matthew, Elizabeth, Noah, Easton, Lucas, Jasper, and Penelope McMahan.
Nancy is also survived by her siblings: Anita (Joseph Sr.) Kane, Sandra (James) Kuntz, and Fay Simpson; her daughter-in-law, Lacey McMahan; and her sisters-in-law, Kathy Ward and Linda Ward. Each of them will forever hold dear the love and connection they shared with her.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Scott McMahan; her siblings: Joseph Ward, Robert Ward, Gary Ward, and Iona Lou Hedrick; her brother-in-law, John Hedrick; and her sister-in-law, Karen Ward.
Nancy’s grandchildren were her world. When she was with them, she was happiest—their laughter and love filled her heart to overflowing. She cherished her family above all else. In her leisure time, Nancy enjoyed yard-selling and hunting for good bargains, curling up with a good book, watching Christmas movies, and doing crafts with her grandkids.
Per Nancy’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Friends are invited to share memories or sign the online guestbook. Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
