Peck and Peck Funeral Homes - Copake FallsNancy C. Miller, a devoted dairy farmer and lifelong Copake resident, passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old.
Born in Copake in 1941, Nancy was the daughter of Herbert and Isabelle Miller. From a young age, she developed a deep appreciation for farm life and the values of hard work, responsibility, and care for the land. Those principles guided her throughout her life as she helped operate Snook Hill Dairy Farm, a cornerstone of the local agricultural community.
Nancy was well known in Columbia County for her dedication to farming and her kind, steady presence. She was a familiar face at the Columbia County Fair, where she enjoyed sharing her knowledge of dairy farming. Her commitment to agriculture extended beyond her own work - she was always ready to lend a hand or offer advice to neighbors and fellow farmers.
Nancy was known to have a deep love and appreciation for music and entertainment. A frequent pastime of Nancy's was attending the local matinee. In addition to the cinema, Nancy enjoyed listening to artists such as Vicki Carr, Anne Murray and Neil Diamond.
Beyond her personal life, Nancy was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She treasured gatherings on the farm, where laughter and stories were always shared. Those who knew her will remember her for her gentle nature, quiet strength and unwavering generosity.
