Nancy Kay (Tyson) Mohn
October 30, 1948 – February 26, 2026
Surrounded by her loving family, Nancy Kay Mohn, 77, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at her home. Nancy was born on October 30, 1948, in
Broken Bow, Nebraska, to Bufford and Esther (Ducker) Tyson.
On August 16, 1968, she was united in marriage to Stephen Mohn in Grand Island, Nebraska. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family, raising three children and sharing many devoted years side by side.
Nancy dedicated her life to her family as a stay-at-home mom, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and care for her husband and children. She had a deep love for people and a spirit that everyone admired. In her younger years, she was very involved in her church, organizing church dinners, funeral dinners, and baby showers. She sang in the church choir and was active in women's ministries.
Nancy found great joy in her many hobbies, especially gardening. She took tremendous pride in her beautiful flower beds and her large vegetable garden, carefully tending them through the seasons. Whether planting in the spring, weeding in the summer sun, or harvesting vegetables to share with family and friends, her gardens were a reflection of her patience and love. She also enjoyed reading and could often be found with a good book in hand, finding both comfort and inspiration in the stories she read. Crafting and painting allowed her creativity to shine, and she loved making handmade items for her family. Nancy also enjoyed doing puzzles, appreciating the quiet focus they required, and she often filled her home with music, singing along to her favorite songs. Each of her hobbies reflected her gentle spirit and the care she put into everything she did.
Most of all, Nancy loved her family – and especially her beloved husband, Steve. She was proud to be called "Grama" and cherished the many wonderful memories she made with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She touched many lives throughout the years and will be remembered for her loving heart, kindness, and devotion.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Jerry) Kenny of Medford, David (Jen) Mohn of Ankeny, Iowa, and Kimberly (Matt) Bousman of Clinton, Iowa; her grandchildren, Ashley (Kyle) Larimer, Tyson Kenny, Todd Kenny, Elizabeth (Billy) Thomas, and Wesley Bousman; and her six great-grandchildren.
Nancy is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Stephen Mohn, who passed away just five months ago on September 26, 2025.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Per Nancy's wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.
Nancy's arrangements are under the compassionate care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer. Family and friends are invited to visit www.lifetributesfuneralhome.com to share memories and offer condolences.
