Nancy MONTEITH Obituary

Born July 17, 1934, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, to Lloyd T. Clark and Loretta M. (LaPlante), Nancy Jean Monteith passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, while traveling to Seattle, Washington. Nancy moved to Spokane with her family in 1944. After graduating from Marycliff High School in 1952, Nancy attended Holy Names Academy. On June 19, 1954, Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Elwood Monteith, with whom she celebrated 68 ½ years of loving companionship. For many years, Nancy worked with Elwood who was a self-employed Public Accountant serving small businesses and individuals throughout the Spokane area. Upon retirement, she and Elwood discovered travel. They enjoyed cruising, visiting many of the destinations they had only heard about since their youth, including Hawaii. Nancy was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic church taking on a variety of lay ministry positions during her 65 years in the parish. Nancy was a member and past president of the Liberty Lake Women's Golf Club and a charter member of Meadow Wood Women's Golf Club. Nancy is survived by one son, David Monteith; three brothers, Bill (Deborah) Clark, Dan Clark, Rob Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood; parents, Lloyd and Loretta Clark; brother, Tom Clark; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Clark.
