Nancy Ann (Semenchuk) Mulcahy, 81, of Marlborough, died Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.

She was the daughter of the late Michael and Thelma (Orpin) Semenchuk and wife of the late David L. Mulcahy. Nancy was predeceased by her brothers, Michael Semenchuk and Robert Semenchuk.

She was born in Waltham in 1944 where she grew up and then graduated from Waltham High in 1962. The family spent some summers in Plymouth including her parents Thelma & Mike, siblings Elaine, Bobby, Richard, Kevin & Mikey with their Aunt Mayne, Aunt Ruth and her cousins Betty-Ann, Jane (Beatrice) and Wil.

While Nancy was working at the Waltham Supermarket, she met her best friend and future husband, David. Nancy and David married in 1965 and lived in Waltham until moving to Marlborough in 1977.

In 1969 they were blessed with a 6-month-old baby girl and named her Pamela. In 1973 Nancy & David lost a baby girl, Ann, at birth and in 1986 they lost a son, David at birth. She always remembered them, and they are now reunited.

Nancy lost her beloved husband David on September 23, 1993. Later that year her daughter and grandsons, Thomas and David, moved back to Marlborough to be with her where she helped raise Thomas and David and was there for them with anything they needed. Spending time with Mikey, Thomas and David was her greatest joy.

While working nights at the reception desk at New Horizons, Nancy won "Employee of the year" and a trip to Disney.

Nancy continued to be close friends with Ginny and her husband Phil until their passing in 2024. Nancy was also long-time friends with Sharon McNally Lally with whom she still spoke with often.

She enjoyed going on trips, including cruises and loved to go anywhere, anytime with everyone and sometimes teased her nieces and nephews about hiding in their suitcases.

Nancy spent a lot of time in her retirement with her cousin Jane (Beatrice) and their friend Lucille. Over the past few years she enjoyed playing cards, games & bingo with her sister Elaine, cousin-in-law Warner and her many friends from Hudson & Berlin.

She was a selfless person who would do anything for anyone without hesitation. She took care of many family members when they were sick and helped people with joy and not obligation. She couldn't jump fast enough to help someone in need and was at her happiest when she was being helpful or cheering you up. Nancy had a dry sense of humor that took you a moment to absorb at times but once you knew her, she was a very entertaining person who loved to laugh with people.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Pamela McNair of Marlborough, her grandchildren, Thomas Lee McNair III and David Leo McNair, her sister, Elaine Mackay and her brothers, Richard Semenchuk and Kevin Semenchuk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Nancy will be dearly missed as she was a true blessing to all.

A life well lived isn't always easy, but some people are able to walk through life with admirable resilience and Grace. Nancy was one of those people.
