Nancy Marie Myers, age 80, passed away on January 13, 2025. She was born in Akron on October 8, 1944, to the late Charles and Marie Lutz. Nancy was a 1962 graduate of Stow High School. She married Joe Myers in June of 1968. She was employed by Summit County MRDD in Tallmadge and Stow Glenn Retirement Village. Nancy's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandsons.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 56 years Joe Myers; her children Meredith Myers, and Joe (Christine) Myers; grandsons Mitchel Myers, and Nicholas Myers; siblings Mary Ann, and Donnie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Norma Jean, brother Charles, and niece Christa Stanley.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, also at Newcomer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy's honor to the Parkinson's Foundation or to Akron Chilren's Foundation.
