Nancy Marie "Bloom" Napier

Nancy Marie Napier, 68 of Auburn and formerly of Chicago, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.

She was born on July 24, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Casimir and Gloria (Smolinski) Bloom.

Nancy married Carl Earl Napier on August 4, 1975 in Chicago and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2020.

She spent her life in Chicago before moving to Auburn two years ago. Nancy worked at Guy's Pizza in Chicago for many years. She loved playing bingo, smoking cigarettes and hanging out in her flower garden. Most of all, Nancy loved spending time with her three grandchildren and her four cats.

Survivors include:

Daughter, Kimberly Napier and Joseph Anderson of Auburn.

Three grandchildren, Timothy Napier of Schaumburg, Illinois; Emily Napier of Auburn and Joseph "JJ" Anderson, Jr. of Auburn.

Sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Larry Graf of Chicago, Illinois.

Brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Santos Bloom of Lake Villa, Illinois.

Niece, Cheryl and Jeremy Wilson and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Napier; daughter, Tracy Napier; son, Carl Napier, Jr. and an infant daughter.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be given in memory of Nancy to the Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.
