In Loving Memory
Nancy E. O'Brien
(nee Bruss)
Nancy was Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 91. Nancy is reunited with her beloved husband, Richard, and her cherished son, Michael.
Nancy was the devoted mother of Kerry (the late David) Calvert, Kelly (Paul) Boldt, Erin O'Brien (James Bauer), and Peggy (the late David) Heider. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jacob, Carly, and Ali Boldt; Troy, Justin, and Jason Calvert; Megan Bauer; Dylan (Kaitlyn), Dean (Hannah), Mitchell, Michael, and Mason Heider. She was also the adored great-grandmother of Tatum and Harper. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by other relatives and many dear friends at Deer Creek.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Estelle (nee Bauer) Bruss and her stepfather, William Stahl.
Nancy had a special talent for crocheting and took great pride in creating beautiful afghans for family and friends. Her craftsmanship earned her a first-place blue ribbon at the Wisconsin State Fair. She was also an avid card player who treasured the friendships and laughter shared around the card table. A devoted sports fan, Nancy loved attending games and cheering on those she loved. When her children were young, she even coached their grade school and middle school baseball teams. In later years, she especially enjoyed watching and supporting her grandchildren at their sporting events.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Froedtert Hospital for the compassion and care they showed Nancy.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin, from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM.
Private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
