Nancy Ondecker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Cremation & Burial Society - Greater Canton Area on Jan. 8, 2026.
Our beautiful mother and grandmother, Nancy, found her peace on January 3, 2026. Her family was blessed to have had her strength, humor and dedication for 90 precious years. She was always the rock and the heart of her family. Born in Detroit MI on February 27, 1935, Nancy attended St. Cecelia's High School (class of 1953) and worked in the city until eventually relocating to Chicago with her husband Robert, whom she married in 1957. The pair had five beloved children and were married for 66 years before Bob passed. Nancy and Bob loved spending time with their family and friends at the lake, both in Michigan and at Lake Mohawk. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her mother Margaret, and Stepfather, George King, her son Michael, son-in-law Paul Harrell, and her siblings- Betty, Bob, Billy, Janet, Jimmy, Mary and Dennis. She is survived and treasured by her four living children, Lynn, Kim, Stephen (Debbie), and Mary Beth (John), her grandchildren Kelly (Jake), Rachel (Kevin), Rob and Samantha, as well as her three great grandchildren, Declan, Caleb and Sullivan. Her memory will always be a blessing. Heartfelt thanks and gratitude for Mom's caregivers, Valerie, Charmain, Megan and especially our nurse Carrie- you have all become family. We will be hosting a celebration of life for Nancy and Bob on January 24, 2026 from 2-4 PM at Raintree Country Club, 4350 Mayfair Rd., Uniontown OH 44685. Please join us to share your memories and stories of our parents.
