Nancy passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, February 20, 2026.
Nancy was one of 13 children born to William and Emily Caudill in Watersmeet, Michigan. on March 10, 1933. She graduated from Watersmeet High School and moved to Chicago shortly thereafter. In 1975 after the death of her husband, Nancy and her son moved to Appleton, WI where she had a long career at Insurance Services Inc.
Nancy is survived by her son; Craig, daughter-in-law, Debbie; granddaughter, Nicky; and grandson, Jack, siblings Carolyn McRae; Judy Peterson; Betty Henry; Kathy (Steve) Worachek; Bob (Helen) Caudill; Paul Caudill; and Tom (Laurel) Caudill; In-laws Don (Jeannette) Peterson; Donna Johnston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by parent William and Emily; husband Jack; siblings and in-laws Bill and Helen, Jeri and Harold, Dick and Jane, Nancy, Clark, Albert, Patricia, Mary Sue, Harold, Carol Mae and George.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made in Nancy’s name to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Pius X Charitable Foundation.
A service and celebration of his life will be held this summer in Watersmeet, MI.
A memorial service is being planned for Tuesday February 24, 2026, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior Street, Appleton. The visitation and service times will be updated when they become available.
