Nancy Faye Piatt, a lively spirit and cherished member of her community, was born on June 21, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio. She passed away unexpectedly at her home on February 11, 2025. Nancy was a woman of many talents and interests, renowned for her selflessness, kindness, and love for those around her.
As a devoted animal lover, Nancy had a heart that extended beyond her family to all creatures great and small. She had a flair for fashion and was always known for her classy attire. An avid crafter, she devoted her time to creating beautiful scrapbooks and paintings, bringing joy not only to herself but to everyone fortunate enough to receive her handmade gifts. She found great happiness in fishing, and her regular hair appointments with her daughter became cherished moments of connection.
Nancy's proudest accomplishments included earning her High School Diploma and the wonderful life she built with her husband, Randy of 40 years. Together, they created a loving home and family, raising two wonderful children whom she adored. Nancy was immensely proud of her daughter Amanda and her son Adam, who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Randy Piatt, her daughter Amanda (Steve Fontaine) Hancock, her son Adam Humphrey, her brother Billy Humphrey, and her sisters Theresa (Elba), Ginger (Steve), and Fran (Chuck). Nancy’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Humphrey, her mother, Sue Ann Humphrey, and her brother, Gary Humphrey. The legacy Nancy leaves behind is one of love, compassion, and creativity, reminding us all of the importance of putting others first.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on February 19, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until noon, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 pm. Nancy's vibrant spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
