Jerry Piatt Obituary
Reverend Jerry K. Piatt, 83, Neodesha, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church with burial to follow in Neodesha Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Monday, January 5, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to payable to Neodesha Boosters Club.
Jerry was born October 8, 1942 in Neodesha, Kansas to James L. Piatt, Jr. and Betty Jean ( Davis). He attended and graduated from Neodesha High school Class of 1960, following his education Jerry started employment with Carr Rock in September of 1960, then Midwest Minerals and retired with Midwest Minerals in 2024 after 64 years of service. Jerry was ordained in April 2007, Jerry taught Sunday School for many years, led the Awana programs for over 30 years. He served on the Church Board for 50 years and an active member of Grace Baptist Church since 1971. Jerry was highly active in the Neodesha Booster Club for many years also serving as President.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Clayton Dean Piatt and Donnie Piatt. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 64 years, Sandra of the home. Four children, Jeff ( Anne) Piatt, Lori Kelley, David ( Tiffany) Piatt, Staci Ray (Jacody) , Grandchildren, J.D Kelley, Joshua ( Johna) Piatt, Beth Ann ( Matt) Winter, Tiffany ( Benny) Culbertson, Jacie, Delanie , Benton, Justice, Maxson, McCoy , Takoda, Mollie, Mason, and Saylor Jo.
