Rebecca Neville Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carson-Wall Funeral Home - Parsons on Feb. 2, 2026.
Rebecca "Becky" Neville, 79, of Parsons, passed away at 7:38 p.m., Saturday at Labette Health.

She was born on February 19, 1946 in Neodesha, Kansas to David and Mary (Reed) Roseberry. Becky grew up in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School. She had lived in several towns including, Joplin, MO, Carl Junction and Altamont before moving to Parsons in 1982. Becky had worked for Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, Labette County Register of Deeds, Countryside Farm and Home, and the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy.

Becky's vibrant personality and sweet nature impacted everyone she met. She was always the "fun" mom, aunt and grandma. She loved children and provided care for many friends and family over the years. She had a playful spirit, willing to be silly or messy for the sake of fun, and she could often be found on the trampoline or lounging on a floatie in the pool with the kids at family gatherings. Sundays were for football, and she was a faithful fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. She loved animals-especially her pets-and she treated them like her babies. Becky adored her family, and she never missed a ball game, concert, recital, or graduation ceremony for her nieces, nephews, or granddaughters. She enjoyed embroidery, parades, going dancing, thrifting, and watching old westerns, and she especially loved to sing. She was a member of the Hamilton Chapel choir for a number of years and frequently provided the entertainment at the monthly Country Jamboree and Dance in Altoona, KS.

She and Jerry Rose were married and later divorced. She and Lee Neville were married on June 4, 1993. Lee survives of Parsons.

Other survivors include her daughter, Gabrielle "Gaye" Evans and her husband, Ned of Oswego; sons, Dale Rose of Ft. Worth, Texas, Shawn Neville (Estona) of Terra Haute, IN; grandchildren, Hillary Swanwick, Ashten Rose, Miranda Neal (Clark), Taylor Schulteis (Ryan), Marlee Grimmett (Jarrett), Damon, Katrina and Gwendolyn Neville; great-grandchildren, Rowan Hilderbrand, Scarlett and Stetson Schulteis, Cooper and Romi Neal, and Maverick Grimmett; sisters, Elizabeth "Beth" Fulghum (Jack Mullins) of Haysville, KS and Heidi Flora (Jon) of Parsons; brother, David Roseberry of Chanute; nieces and nephews, Darren Fulghum (Mindi), Darcie Martinez, Johnna Reed (Tyler) and Cynthia Wetzel (Austin) and several great-nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Greg Fulghum.

The family will receive friends at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in the Fredonia Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Labette Community College Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital and may be left at or mailed to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.

So Sorry for your loss...

Becky was always a sweet and kind neighbor who would speak to me and wave and ask how I was, she didn´t know how at times I would watch from my door to make sure she made it to and then back to her apartment from getting mail... Sometimes she worried me as she moved so carefully and and she seemed a little shaky so I watched just to make sure she had no problems....

I will miss her kindness it has been a steady gift since I moved in back in 2013...

My thoughts and Prayers are with you...

Sincerely,
Dewana Healy
