On January 23,2026, Barbara Piercey passed away in Durham, NC, at the age of 81. Born on January 6, 1945, in Topeka KS., she was the daughter of the late Guss and Jean (Steck) Grimm.
In her professional life, Barbara, was a tax preparer and accountant. She loved reading, gardening, and music. As a member of the Vienna Falls Chorus, a part of Sweet Adelines who sing a cappella in barbershop style, the chorus won many Regional contests and an International contest. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Christopher. She is survived by her son, Bruce Piercey and his wife, Sandra Burrows of Alexandria, VA, and her two sisters, Nancy Foster of Neodesha, KS, and Judy Martell of Durham, NC.
