Charles A. Booth, son of the late Charles Booth and the late Ruth B. Booth was born on September 17, 1946. H died peacefully in his home on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Charles joined St. Paul AME Church at an early age. participated in many organizations and clubs throughout the area. He worked at Chapel Hill Transit for more than 35 years and retired as a supervisor. He had a love for people and looked forward to going to work daily knowing that it was going to be a great day.
Charles was a very friendly individual that enjoyed his family, his music and his liquor. If you would give him those 3 things together you were bound to have a great time. Charles was the type of person you wanted to be around and listen to his jokes. He possessed the unique ability to remember special people and neighborhood history. He had a passion for watching sports especially the Carolina Panthers and UNC Tar Heels. He graduated from Lincoln High School and attended NC A & T in Greensboro, NC.
He leaves to cherish in loving memory long time friend Candi; three daughters, Danita Hayes (Fred), Tonya Adams,Cecelia Hoskins, three sons, Kenneth Allen, (Timber)Anthony Allen, Ramon McClain, two sisters, Renee Bynum; Anita Booth; six grandchildren, Kenneth Allen, Jr.,Adrian, Russell, Kendall, and Kayla Allen, and Cire Evans, and a host of nephews, relatives and friends. He will be missed not only by his family but also by all who were blessed to have known him. His loving memory will be cherished always.
