Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Kinderton Chapel - AdvanceMrs. Mildred Antonette Quintieri Booth, 100 Years Old, of Advance, NC passed away quietly with her family present at home in Advance, NC Thursday, March 5, 2026. Mildred was born June 5, 1925, in Paterson, NJ to Ralph and Nina Borzellino Quintieri and resided in Patterson, until she married John E. Booth of Newark, NJ. Who preceded her passing February 24, 2004. They relocated to Verona, NJ and then to Point Pleasant in 1956, moving later to Princeton Commons, Brick and she most recently to Advance, NC.
She received her Registered Nurse degree from Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing Montclair NJ 1946. Moving to Pt. Pleasant, she worked at MCOC (Pt. Pleasant & Brick hospitals) for 30 Plus years. She was known as one of the “Old Timers” easily recognized by her crisp white uniform and compassionate disposition. She was one of the hospital’s original I.V. therapists in a position she loved. She also spent time in Post Surgery, ICU, Maternity and did some private duty and fill-in at Pt. Pleasant schools. Upon retirement she visited the hospital and nostalgia set in, and she was not done with the hospital. With her friend Gloria began volunteering MCOC, Mildred in the Pre-admitting lab. Mildred was an active member in the Women’s Club of Point Pleasant and received the “Order Of The Lilly”- Yellow Rose signifying - Joy, Friend & Caring, an active and original member of St. Martha’s Catholic Church, Rosery Society, Catholic Daughters, Book Clubs in Pt. Library, avid player of Bridge, Mahjong & Gin Rummy with friends and active at Princeton Commons Social events.
Surviving are her two children, Peggy Meisse, St. Petersburg FL and John M. Booth & Noel Goggin, Advance, NC & Shammy her daily companion: four Grandchildren: Carly, married to Ty, Jennifer & Fiancé Alec, and Kyle & Kristen; four great grandchildren, Cooper, Ellie, Drew & Kylie; one Great Grandchild Bella; and her brother, Gene Quintieri and wife, Joann.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home in Advance March 22 at 2pm. A grave site service will be held in NJ on April 11th at St Catherine /St Anne’s Cemetery Allen Wood Road, Wall Township, NJ. Services will be followed by a Celebration of Life with friends and family at the Point Pleasant Elks from 1:15 – 4PM friends and family welcome.
