Curtis McLaughlin Obituary
He is survived by his children: Lianne McLaughlin (Larry Daughtridge), Craig McLaughlin (Christi Voenell), Gwenn McLaughlin (Douglas Feltman), and Tritia McLaughlin (Paul van Son); his grandchildren: Alexis Daughtridge, Celia Daughtridge, Gregory Feltman (Lexie Conduff Feltman), Laura Feltman (Trevor Dunlap), and Manya Janowitz; and his great-grandchildren: Jack and Elizabeth Feltman. He is also remembered by Barbara's family and his friend Sue Smith.
Curt graduated from Wesleyan University and went on to earn both an MBA and DBA from Harvard Business School. In 1968, he joined the faculty of the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he served with distinction until his retirement in 1997. He traveled extensively as a visiting professor or a choir member. Curt also served on the boards of numerous charitable foundations. A memorial gathering to honor Curt's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Carol Woods Assembly Hall, located at 750 Weaver Dairy Road in Chapel Hill.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in remembrance of Curt may be made to CASA or PORCH.
