Nancy J Placzek

Nancy J. (Garon) Placzek, 74, of Chicopee, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at home. She was born on March 3, 1951 in Holyoke and was the daughter of Jeanne (Terault) Garon of South Hadley and the late Robert Garon. Nancy received an Associate's Degree from Holyoke Community College in Computer Programming. She worked in various positions at Mass Mutual Insurance Company for a quarter century. Besides her father, Robert Garon, she is predeceased by her husband, Stanley B. Placzek, who died on September 24, 2024. Nancy is survived by her mother, Jeanne Garon, son, Joel Patruno and his wife, Jamie of South Hadley, her brothers and sisters, Donna Perreault of South Hadley, Bill Garon and his wife, Suzi of Florida, Marie Pelland and her husband, Michael also of Florida and David Garon and his wife, Donna of Granby and three grandchildren, Jasmine, Amber and Violet. Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a mass at Holy Mother of the Rosary Church, Bell St., in Chicopee at 11:00 a.m. Her burial will be at Holy Mother of the Rosary Cemetery in Chicopee with a reception to follow.
