Nancy Pressley Obituary
Mrs. Pressley was born in Thomaston on January 25, 1952, to the late Melvin Timothy Pressley and the late Agnes Oglesby Pressley. She was retired from the Thomaston-Upson Board of Education and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Pressley was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalyn Howell, and two brothers, Gary Pressley and Douglas Pressley. Survivors include two sons: Chuck (James) Woodall and Brian Woodall; and a brother, Lynwood (Betty Pressley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

My dad and other neighborhood men rescued Nancy from a house fire when she was young. I recall seeing dad put her in his green truck and take off to the hospital.
As an adult, she was in a Griffiin Rehab and Dad and I visited her while she was there. She greeted him with a hug and said, "My hero."
Now they are both in heaven!
RIP, Nancy.

My dad, James Peterman, carried Nancy to the hospital when she was burned in her home in Glencliff Subdivision in the early 60s. I took him to see her at a Griffin nursing home several years ago and she said to him, "You saved my life."
Dad passed away 3/9/24.
