Nancy "Earline" Smith Pryor, 95, of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away on February 2, 2026 in Powell, Ohio. Born February 21, 1930, in King, N.C., she was the eldest child of LaFoy and Daisy Ashburn Smith.
Earline graduated from Copeland High School in 1948 and married James "Jim" Pryor in 1957. Earline always had a camera in her hand, a song in her heart, a dimpled smile, and an unceasing faith.
Earline was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Doris Ayers, Anne Gordon, and Joel Smith, and her beloved husband, Jim.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Kenneth) Mays; daughter, Tracy (Michael) Pryor-Poole; granddaughter, Rain; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Calvary Moravian Church. Interment will follow in God's Acre. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made in Earline's honor to Calvary Moravian Church (Roof and Steeple Fund), 600 Holly Ave. NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, or to Church of the Redeemer (Above and Beyond Fund), 3883 Summit View Rd., Dublin, OH 43016.

Harry & I are sorry to hear about Earline's passing. We owned the property next to Jim & Earline's at the Piedmont Boat Club. Our son, Craig played with you, Stacy, Kim at the boat club. That was many years ago when everyone was younger. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I was sorry to read that Earline had passed away. She and my mother, Jean Phillips, have been friends for many, many years. I presume they met through the Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio that mother owned, but I am not totally sure about that. Mother is now 96 and a resident in the memory care unit of Trinity Elms in Clemmons so I cannot confirm with her how her friendship with Earline began. I know her thoughts and prayers would be with Tracy and her family during this time of loss, as are mine.
