Nancy and I were at United Seminary in Dayton ,Ohio. She was single parenting, carrying a large academic load and working- each a full time job leaving little time for self care. She was often weary beyond description, working on few hours of rest, yet she had a special light in her that drew others to her. We would sit and chat late at night as I grew to admire her. Somehow the world seems a bit dimmer without her, but I know that her light shines even brighter now.
Most of all...she has found rest.
I pray for her family, for their human loss is greater. Peace and prayers to you

Nancy came to Lindsey just after my mom died. I needed a strong woman in my world. She lived so close to church and to my dad that I saw her nearly every day. She introduced me to Gevalia coffee when you had to order it because nobody close by to Lindsey sold it in the stores. Her words often saved me. I so appreciate all she did in my life.

Aunt Nancy always had a way of making you feel better no matter what might be going on. She was always ready with love and encouragement. I am comforted to think that her spirit will always be near.

Nancy and I shared a lot of summers together when she visited us in Ohio during our younger years which were lots of fun....She was seriously considering a trip to see me this summer but the circumstances came up and she decided not to come which was a big disappointment to my but I truly understood her reasoning...I know Nancy is going to have fun up there in the wonderful place called HEAVEN...but she will truly be missed by all of her family members....nLY8c

Dear Family,
We send you our sincere sympathy. Your mom was one of a kind... generous, friendly, community oriented and just a really nice person. We did not attend Lindsey Church, but that did not matter to her, we were treated as part of her "flock". She was very helpful with my aging parents...she had great insight. We hope your many memories and faith will ease your grief. Our condolences to you all.

She was a wonderful blessing to our family while she served at Lindsey Trinity. It was a privilege to work with her there. I will miss her words of wisdom. Comforting prayers to all those who knew and loved her.

I first met you in Sunday school class- one of the 4 Nancy's- in Stewartstown, PA in 1981. We soon became great friends. So much we shared together and our children too. My goodness, the long, long theological talks we'd have! You moved. I moved. We grew older. Distance has a way of separating that we try to overcome. We didn't get to speak often, but when we did, we picked right up on our conversations as though time had not passed. We faced joys, heartbreak, and struggles, always knowing that God provided what we needed and led us. Our giggles and laughter sustained me. Our love for each other strengthened me. Our talks challenged me. I will forever miss you until we meet again. I have no doubt you'll insist to God that you will be the first person I see! I will be here for your children. They can call me any time. I love them like my own. You blessed my life like no other. I am broken-hearted that you've gone ahead of me.
