She was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 21, 1945 and was the daughter of the late George and Betty Lee Gale.
Nancy was a graduate from Lake-Lehman High School, Class of 1963. She worked as cashier at the Weis Grocery Market, Dallas. Nancy attended The Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David W. Smith; brother, Richard Gale.
Nancy is survived by sons, Daniel H. Smith, Jr. (Loretta) of Pelahatchie, MS and George V. Smith (Charlene) of Quincy, Washington; daughter, Letha M. Carter (Michael) of Aylett, VA; sister, Letha Titus (Larry) of Harveys Lake; brother, George Gale (Peggy) of Noxen; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. L.D. Reed of the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, officiating.
A Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 on Monday before the services at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
