Nancy Sprandel Obituary

Nancy Lee (Rolandini) Sprandel, 73, of High Street passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on August 16, 1948 to the late Elaine (Foisey) and James Rolandini, Sr. She grew up in West Springfield and was a graduate of West Springfield High School Class of 1966. Nancy was a homemaker for most of her life, but later on she and her husband owned 202 Liquors in Holyoke from 1989-2006. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church formerly in North Agawam. She enjoyed vacationing in Vermont and Las Vegas. She enjoyed sitting around her pool surrounded by her family. Nancy was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. She was known by all as a truly generous person in every sense of the word. A special thank you from the family to Taryn her ICU nurse at Mercy Medical Center for being so compassionate and never leaving her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald C. Sprandel who passed away in 2007, loving mother of Michael Sprandel and his wife Kimberly of Agawam, Michelle Lynn and her husband Sam of West Springfield, and Melissa Blackak and her husband Brian of Agawam, caring sister of James Rolandini, Jr. and his wife Diane of West Springfield, and devoted grandmother of Ashley and Tyler Sprandel, Zachary and Ryan Lynn, and Lucas Blackak. She also leaves her three nephews, Paul, David and Matt. All Funeral Services will be private and Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements. There will be a Celebration of Life planned sometime in the Summer of 2022. In lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s name may be made to the Shriners’ Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. For more information, please visit www.toomeyobrien.com.

Missy,Spike and Shelly, Deb and I grew up idolizing your mom and dad, they were in a sense our mentors and our teachers, through hard times and fun times they kept more than one family together, by having everyone get together whether it was at the pool or at the camp, watching the red sox , the bruins or the patriots many many great memories will be forever etched into our minds. Nan passed way to young but i know she is in heaven and has a whole lot of
support that was waiting for her, I will never say goodby to Nana i will only say so long for now, All of our love and prayers are with all of you, Love Pomp and Deb
