Nancy Lee Squires, 89, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024. She was born in Baltimore to the late Henry and Rosalie Schaefer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy A. Squires Sr.
Nancy is survived by her three devoted sons, Leroy A. Squires Jr. and his wife, Susan, Michael Squires and his wife, Marie, and Kevin Squires; loving step-grandchildren, Nicole Propert, Daniel Propert and Phillip Daley Jr.; beloved step-great-grandchildren, Candice, Nicholas and Nolan; and her dear sister, Betty Evans.
As a cherished member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, Nancy's commitment to assisting with church activities, whether it was setting up for services, nurturing young minds in classrooms, or tending to the needs of others in the kitchen will forever be remembered. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, taking care of others and watching her grand-dogs.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, July 9th, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
