Mrs. Nancy Edith Steele

Mrs. Nancy Edith Steele, age 94, of Murray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her daughter's home. Mrs. Steele was born on November 9, 1921 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Lee Andrew Donelson and Edna Vivian Billington Donelson. She was a homemaker and was also a member of the Friendship Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steele is preceded in death by her husband, John McClain Steele; one brother, A.G. Donelson; as well as three sisters, Tennie Donelson, Elsie Miller, and Luvena Lovett. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara June Price and husband E.J. of Hazel Park, Michigan, Loretta Gray Jarboe and husband Donald of Symsonia, Kentucky, and Nancy Gail Burket and husband Gunter of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Billy Joe Steele of East Palatka, Florida and wife Carole; one sister Johnnie Mable Maddox of Murray, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; Kenny Price and wife Janie, Regina Borthwick and husband Jim, Anita Twombley and husband Dan, Jeanie Dee Steele, James Douglas Steele, John Jarboe and wife Tabby, Tonya King and husband Curtis, Alicia Jarboe, Christina Prittchard and husband Michael, Angela Taylor and husband Charles, and Derek Burket and wife Erin; twenty-three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Gruber, Josh Price, Jacob Price, Daniel Price, Aaron Price, Jamie Kay Borthwick, J.C. Borthwick, John McClain Borthwick, Joseph Borthwick, Andrew Twombley, Alyssa Twombley, Ethan Jarboe, Tyler Jarboe, Elijah Taylor, Ethne Taylor, Evelyn Taylor, Kieran Taylor, Charlie Taylor, Guinevere Taylor, Jaden Burket, Landon Burket, Lilly Pritchard, and Cuba Steele; as well as two great-grandchildren, Collin Gruber and Aiden Gruber. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with burial following in the Friendship Church of Christ Cemetery. Charles Taylor and Joey Glisson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
