Swanson, Nancy Jane (Lauve) Age 80 of St. Louis Park, passed away on July 26, 2025. Preceded in death by husband, Robert; parents, Alice & Stanley Lauve; and brother, Roger. She will be deeply missed by her children, Mark (Julie) and Emily (Brendan) Thompson; grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, Katherine, Amanda, and Logan; sister, Janet (Wayne) Anderson; and siblings-in-law, Elaine (William) Mitchell, Roger (Joan) Swanson, Anne Eggestein, and Norma Schuldt. Nancy graduated from Park Sr. High '62, from Fairview School of Nursing, earned a BA from the UMNTC, and two MA from the UMNTC and Hamline University. She was an RN who spent much of her career as a beloved school nurse for the Mpls Public Schools, namely Patrick Henry High. She was a member of the Jaycees and the Hopefuls. She loved to quilt, travel, and was in the ULCH Sr. Choir for 51 years. She was very involved in community service through her church. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 14th, at University Lutheran Church of Hope, (601 13th Ave SE, Minneapolis) at 11am with visitation an hour prior. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery at 2pm.
