Nancy Thompson Obituary
Following her graduation from Cumberland High School, she obtained a diploma in nursing. She spent the following 15 years employed as a registered nurse in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Colorado. She graduated as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in 1977, and was employed by Lakeview Medical Center until her retirement in 2004. In 2005, she became a volunteer for Lakeview Medical Center's hospice program.
Her days were filled with joy, living "Up North" with family, friends, and her beloved canine companions, a fulfilling career as a Nurse Anesthetist, and "the best nonjob ever," that of attending the elderly and the terminally ill as a volunteer for Lakeview's hospice team.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
Memorials may be sent to ADRC of Barron County, or The Humane Society of Barron County.
Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
