NANCY JANE WALKER

WALKER, Nancy Jane Age 90, passed away April 17, 2024, at Greystone Farm in Salem, NH. Nancy, daughter of Susie and Deforest Bortle, grew up in Chittenango, NY. She graduated from Springfield Hospital School of Nursing. She was predeceased by her loving husband of almost 50 years, George E. Walker. Nancy was also predeceased by her parents, six brothers and six sisters. She is survived by her sister, Audrey (Sudy) Olesh of Syracuse, NY. She is survived by their four children, Michael Walker and his wife, Indra Reinbergs of Watertown, MA, Patricia Walker of Atkinson, NH, Mary Loveland of Suffield, CT and Judy Enos and her husband, Keith of Plaistow, NH. Nancy has six grandchildren, Sarah Dewey and her husband, Matthew of Stafford Springs, CT, Amanda Thomas and her husband, Evan of West Suffield, CT, Thomas Loveland of Suffield, CT, Lauren Enos of Plaistow, NH, Benjamin Enos of Stoughton, MA and Kira Walker of Watertown, MA. She was "Grandma Great" to Jacob Dewey, Caleb Dewey, Camden Thomas and Beckham Thomas. The most important part of Nancy's life was her family, who will cherish her memory. Nancy lived most of her life in Longmeadow, MA. She also enjoyed summers on Watson Pond in East Otis, MA and the years that the family spent in Belgium. Nancy's artistic endeavors included Chinese brush painting, toleware painting, pen and ink sketches and brass rubbing. Nancy and George enjoyed sharing an antiques and collectibles business in retirement. A private Graveside Service will be held in Otis, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one's preferred charity in her memory.
