Nancy Godsey Webber, 67, of Lynchburg passed away on December 9, 2025, at her residence.
Born on May 1, 1958, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Braxton Godsey and Edith McCormick Godsey. She is survived by three daughters, Michelle Tucker and Otis, Brittany Webber and Jessica all of Raleigh, NC, and Whitney Ward and Andrew of Pamplin; three grandchildren, Addyson Tucker, Oliver Tucker, and Thomas Ward; three siblings, Wayne Burley and wife, Robin, Peggy Harvey and husband, Clyde, and Tammy Gunter; former husband and friend, Frankie Webber; special cousin, Tina Arrighi; and friend, Jim Meurrens.
Nancy was an active member of Glory Baptist Church. Nancy was a forklift operator for 34 years at Thomasville Furniture and 13 years at KDC One, where she was often the only lady forklift operator in the warehouse. She loved the outdoors and could often be seen watching squirrels, deer, hummingbirds, and opossums in her backyard. There was nothing she loved more than her children and grandchildren, and she supported them relentlessly. Nancy was a model of strength, perseverance, hard work, and selflessness.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Anthony Mays; and grandchild, Gabriella Lee Tucker; and brother, James Burley.
A funeral service will be held 11am, Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Glory Baptist Church, 195 Park Ln, Appomattox, VA with Pastor Mark Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm, Friday, December 12 at Robinson Funeral Home, 667 Court St, Appomattox, VA.
