Nancy (King) White, 85, of Mill Gap, began her journey into Glory to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
Nancy was born January 19, 1938 in the same house in which she passed, as the beautiful daughter of the late Martin Ellis and Grace (Page) King.
A 1959 graduate of the C&O School of Nursing in Clifton Forge, Nancy was an RN and served as class president. She worked at the C&O Hospital, as well as Bath County Hospital. She also worked a short time as Highland County’s Public Health Nurse, but her greatest love was working to care for many friends and neighbors throughout the community.
A faithful member of Word of Faith Church for the past 43 years, she loved her church family dearly. Her faith in God and loving devotion to her family was the foundation of Nancy’s life – whether in her role as wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt or friend, Nancy leaves a legacy of love by her actions. She was also an excellent cook and loved feeding others in her home and throughout the community. Her family, friends and patients will always remember her as a loving, kind, generous and selfless to a fault, lady!
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ellis Darwin and Zane Page King.

White, whom she married April 12, 1960; three sons, Ronald J. “R.J.” White II and wife, Donna of Verona, Peter “Pete” K. White and wife, Lisa of Mustoe and Robert “Robbie” E.
