Nancy Groce Williams

After a lengthy time of declining health, Nancy Groce Williams, 77, of Lenoir took the hand of Jesus on Monday July 29th, 2024. She was born July 18, 1947 in Yadkin County to Locksley Hall Groce and Edna Wishon Lawrence. Along with her father she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Tom Williams and a brother, Gary Groce.  In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Lisa Bennick (Jimmy), Donna Williams, Lori Williams, and grandchildren Anna Kate & Hadley Williams all of Lenoir; sisters Mary Jane Snow of Wilmington, Judy Hauser & Debi Griffin of East Bend as well as extended family and many friends.  She was a wonderful homemaker who also worked different jobs to help support her family. Her true calling was being a CNA at various nursing homes and working with children in a child care ministry. Her selfless attitude and servants heart made her great at both of these vocations.  Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville on August 1, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. The burial will at the Wyo Community Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made Wyo Cemetery Fund. Checks should be made out to Wyo Bible Methodist Church with a note in the memo line and mailed to 3928 Wyo Road Yadkinville, NC 27055 or to an animal rescue of your choice.
