Mary Winters

Mary Winters passed away on the 20th of February, 2026. She was born on the 22nd of November, 1949 to the late William and Dorothy Hill. She was raised in Forsyth County, and eventually settled in the Elkin community in 2015. Mary enjoyed going to the movies, singing along to music, and crocheting. She also loved going to play bingo on Sundays with her family. Mary will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

In addition to her parent, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Jenny Winters; and brother, Deway Hill. She is survived by her children, Maggie (Matt) Snyder, Heather Wright, Ronald (Helena) Winters Jr.; grandchildren, John Sphar, Jason Winters, Mary Wright, Malachi Wright, Elena Winters, Greyson Winters; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray (Deanna) Hill; David Hill; sister-in-law, Deann Hill; nephews, Adam (Dana) Hill, Ryan Hill, Richard (Andrea) Walker, David “Little Davy” Hill; and nieces, Amber Hill, Brittany Hill, Bethany (Shawn) Phillips, Michelle (Mark) Remmey, Elizabeth Walker.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M at Island Ford Baptist Church. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Westlawn Gardens of Memory at a later date. The staff of Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville will be serving the Winters Family.
